Rivers are roads in Amazonia, and riverboat expeditions are a uniquely Amazonian experience. You can navigate narrow tributaries of the Rio Negro and Amazon River and you will be deep into the forest, the home to abundant aquatic life.

Durante 4dias/3noites você vivenciará experiências como: Visita ao encontro dos rios Negro e Solimões, conhecerá  uma tribo indígena e ouvirá suas histórias, cultura e costumas. Visita ao Arquipélago Anavilhanas, vislumbrar a beleza e harmonia dos botos cor-de-rosa. Poderá observar a revoada  de pássaros e  visitar a comunidade do lago Acajatuba, no rio Negro.

09:00 a.m. The program begins with a cruise down the river, visiting the meeting of the waters (Negro and Solimões River), Then a short visit to a floating Village with 30 families, (it is a very interesting place, where the guest will be able to observe how people live on floating houses) and then we will go to Janauarilandia Park, to have a catwalk view of the giant water lilies. 12:30 p.m. Lunch on the board. Afterwards the group will do an excursion in small canoes into the Igapós (annually flooded forest).
  • Departure by boat from Janauarilandia to Jacareubal

06:00 a.m. Departure to Arara River / **Breakfast on board 08:30 a.m. Trekking in the Rainforest with a tour guide and a local guide from the Arara Community. During the trek, the group will get information about the flora and fauna of the region, including medicinal plants.  After trekking lunch on board and time for swimming in the river.
  • Afternoon – Piranha Fishing, and Sunset tour
  • 06: 30 p.m. Dinner on board
  • Overnight on the Anavilhanas islands

Back to the boat for Breakfast on board. Departure to acajatuba village visit a native community (it is a small village with a church and a school. These people are a mixed ethnic background). Lunch on board 12:00 p.m. Afternoon interactions with pink dolphins.
  • Canoes trip on the ARIAU River to see monkeys and try to see some wild life;
  • Dinner night tour see some more wild life and alligator’s;
  • Overnight on board.

Breakfast interactions with pink dolphins. Lunch visit Sateren Native village lunch transfer back to Manaus. Arrives around 17:00 p.m.

Details for better use of your experience

  • At the flood season (April, May and June): The tours are mostly forays through the Igarapés and Igapós.
  • In the dry season (October, November and December): Ecological walks along the trails of Parna and tours through waterfalls and rapids.

What is not included

  • Travel insurance of any kind
  • Alcoholic beverages, such as beer and wine, which can be arranged per your request for moderate consumption. We do bring a couple bottles of cachaça (brazilian sugar cane rum) to mix fresh lime Caipirinhas on ice in the evening. Our treat and tradition

Travel insurance

  • Due to the extreme nature and risks associated with these trips, we strongly recommend that you take individual travel insurance that reflects your personal and family histories
  • We inspect the vessels we work with regularly, and carry safety, first aid, and emergency equipment on board
  • We are also connected with logistics for patient removal by helicopter services available in the region if needed
  • For your trip, we will also be carrying a low refrigeration antidote for snakebites. It is very unlikely that we will need it, but we take every precaution available to us
  • Manaus has two very good hospitals, one specializing in tropical medicine
  • We assume no responsibilities for lost or damaged items and personal equipment and gear during the trip, unless it happens by negligence from our part

What to bring in the backpack

We recommend a medium Backpack, which will be used during your jungle adventure, with the following items:

  • Cotton shirts, long pants in nylon style or jeans
  • Pair of socks
  • Sneakers for long walks, like Trekking shoes or boots
  • Hat or cap
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Sandals
  • Swimsuit
  • Flashlights with alkaline batteries
  • Binoculars
  • Waterproof zippered bag to protect camera and other small items
  • Poncho or raincoat
  • Mosquito repellent
