This boat program includes: Meeting of the Waters, visit to water lilies lake, visit to communities around Negro and Amazon rivers, piranha fishing, alligator spotting and jungle trekking.

08:00 a.m. Departure from Manaus harbor for the 3day Eco-cruise in regional or luxury boat. The program will start with a cruise down river, visiting the meeting of the waters (Negro and Solimões River), a visit to a floating Village with 30 families, (it is a very interesting place, where the guest will gain an appreciation of how people live in floating houses) and then we will go to Janauarilandia to take a raised board walk view of the giant water lilies. Dinner on board

Nocturnal excursion, cayman spotting and sounds of the Rainforest by night. Departure from Janauarilandia to Jacareubal (about 01:40h). Overnight on board in hammocks or cabins.

06:00 a.m. Departure to Jaraqui River.

02:00 p.m. Breakfast on board.

Arrival at Jaraqui River followed by trekking in the Rain forest with a tour guide and a local guide from the Jaraqui River. During the trek the group will receive informations about the flora and fauna of the region including the numerous medicinal plants abundant in the area.

Afterwards enjoy a relaxed barbecue lunch and time for swimming in the Jaraqui River.

In the afternoon, cruise up to Anavilhanas Archipelago. There you will go piranha Fishing and enjoy a stunning sunset tour in canoes. Dinner on board. Night tour to watch animals.

Overnight on board in hammocks or cabins.

05:30 a.m. Sunrise tour, bird and Amazon dolphin watching in canoes. Breakfast on board

Departure to visit the Acajatuba community (it is a Native village with a church and a school). These people are of a mixed ethnic background). Lunch on board.

Cruise Back to Manaus. Arrive at 05:00 p.m.

Details for better use of your experience

  • At the flood season (April, May and June): The tours are mostly forays through the Igarapés and Igapós.
  • In the dry season (October, November and December): Ecological walks along the trails of Parna and tours through waterfalls and rapids.

Accommodation: As it is a private trip, the boat can be selected according to the client's preferences

It does not include

  • Travel insurance of any kind
  • Alcoholic beverages, such as beer and wine, which can be arranged per your request for moderate consumption. We do bring a couple bottles of cachaça (brazilian sugar cane rum) to mix fresh lime Caipirinhas on ice in the evening. Our treat and tradition

Travel insurance

  • Due to the extreme nature and risks associated with these trips, we strongly recommend that you take individual travel insurance that reflects your personal and family histories
  • We inspect the vessels we work with regularly, and carry safety, first aid, and emergency equipment on board
  • We are also connected with logistics for patient removal by helicopter services available in the region if needed
  • For your trip, we will also be carrying a low refrigeration antidote for snakebites. It is very unlikely that we will need it, but we take every precaution available to us
  • Manaus has two very good hospitals, one specializing in tropical medicine
  • We assume no responsibilities for lost or damaged items and personal equipment and gear during the trip, unless it happens by negligence from our part

What to bring in the backpack

We recommend a medium Backpack, which will be used during your jungle adventure, with the following items:

  • Cotton shirts, long pants in nylon style or jeans
  • Pair of socks
  • Sneakers for long walks, like Trekking shoes or boots
  • Hat or cap
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Sandals
  • Swimsuit
  • Flashlights with alkaline batteries
  • Binoculars
  • Waterproof zippered bag to protect camera and other small items
  • Poncho or raincoat
  • Mosquito repellent
